I'm a big fan of cloth capes too, and mixed materials in general on figures.
I like the material you've used here, but I think the caped for supes and Steel are a bit long. Those guys aren't generally drawn with longer styled capes, but that's just my taste.
I've used the wire trick before and it can look really good! You can also iron the capes to force the creases where you want them. That can give a nice look too.

I love capes too. I really like fabric ones. If you want them to drape better you might try a thinner material. The stuff you have here seems thick in the pictures, almost like fleece or something. And a neat trick to make them to sit is to soak them and leave them to dry.

hey what was that speech the little costume designer in the Incredibles gave about capes? Man I 'bout peed my kilt laughing at that one...so I can't look at capes the same way anymore, even though I like that you make real capes for your figs Wylun, that silly movie ruined me for capes!

I'll give you a tip. If you attach a thin string wire to the edge of the cape and carefully saw it in or use glue that is specially designed for cloth you can create ripples to your capes instead of letting them hang (its a tedious process but can haev a great effect). Try it and let me know how it turn out.

Superman's cape seems a bit too long. I think his cape tends to hang at the top of his heel
