I’ve always found the crime bosses in Spider-Man to be really cool and interesting, so The Rose was high on my list of Spider-Man customs to do. I used Professor X as a base and the only parts that aren’t from him are the hands that come from Baron Zemo. I sculpted the jacket using FIXIT Sculpt, and as you might be able to see on the WIP picture, I first glued on a piece of fabric that I then sculpted over, a technique that isn’t perfect, but it’s the best way I know, and it works fine! I also sculpted the mask over the head and it went great! The glasses are from an Austin Powers figure (you can get them from Black Arachnis), and the roses are from Street Fighter’s Vega. I first painted the figure light yellow and dry-brushed white over it, but unfortunately, the white paint I have is so thin, so I had to do several layers, and as you can see, there are some paint lumps as a result of it. I buy REALLY cheap paint, but if it’s one color that’s good to have in nice quality, it’s white! I’m very satisfied with the painting of his mask though. It got a nice texture and color! Thanks for looking! Tomorrow I'll submit the last figure from series 1 of my Spider-Man customs. ![]() |
