One of Spider-Man’s first and best enemies is the Chameleon. So why hasn’t he been made as a 6" figure yet??? Who knows; and I don’t care because I’ll just make my own!

It’s pretty unusual for a character so old not to have a signature costume, but looking through many of his appearances for reference pictures, I didn’t find any one costume that clicked with my vision of the Chameleon. His most memorable costume might very well be the one from the ‘90s animated series! Though, his suits differ from each appearance, he seems to wear a lot of suits, so that’s what I chose to do, sort of a mix between different ones.

The body I used is not Professor X as you might think, It’s actually Dracula! Who’s have thought he had the exact same body underneath?
I gave him a pair of hands from a DC Hawkman figure, and I modified the right hand to hold a gun that I took from Taskmaster.
The head was a Professor X head though! I had some problem with how I wanted to make his face, as it appears a bit different in his different appearances.
Some have it look like it’s a mask he wears, with holes cut out for the eyes. That’s not what I wanted to do.
Some have him with nostrils, others without.
And on all the Chameleon customs I’ve seen, he’s had a vertical line down the middle of his face. No idea what that’s supposed to be or why it’s there, but he has it in some comics so…
I originally made a vertical line, nostrils and also big eyebrows when I sculpted the face, but after painting it, I realized something didn’t look right and I actually ended up removing all these features, and the result was much better. Though you can still see some traces of these things, so the face isn’t as smooth as I would have wished, but so what?

I made the jacket the same way I made The Rose’s, and you can see it a bit clearer on this WIP picture. I like the way this one came out better though.

I’m happy with this custom, the body more so than the head, and if Hasbro decides to make a 6" Chameleon figure, I can just use this custom’s body to make some other character in a suit!

I feel like I've stepped up my game a bit with these Spider-Man customs. It's a good feeling!

The mouth looks OK to me. Perhaps because it is a mask, it can be a bit wider.
Anywho, I really dig the way you are doing these jackets. One thing I HATE about the prof-X body is the uber-ball joints on the upper legs.
Your technique masks that very well, making a flawed base figure look great.
Many kudos.

You're right, the mouth is wider than it should be! I'll see what I can do about that!

Nice. I like the eyes and the texture on the jacket especially... my only critique is that the mouth seems too wide for some reason. I can't say why, just a feeling I get. It looks off to me.
