JACKAL
Here’s the first figure of my second series of Spider-Man customs!
One of the grad-schemers in Spider-Man’s life was the Jackal. He’s the one that created all the clones of Peter and Gwen and even of himself that led to the controversial Clone Saga of the ‘90s. A saga I very much enjoyed, if I may say so!!!
He’s also the one that introduced the world to the Punisher, by hiring him to kill Spider-Man!

I saw a Jackal custom by Actorjez, that used the unmasked Deadpool head and I thought it was a great idea, so I got one from Black Arachnis.
I’ve used Mr Fantastic’s body on several customs already and had a couple more lying around (it’s a superb body!) so I used that.
The tough part was sculpting all the fur. I use FIXIT Sculpt, so I could only do a little at a time, because it has to cure before I can continue, so it took several weeks to finish. It’s unfortunate that I don’t have a WIP picture, but I didn’t think about that until after I started painting the figure!
I painted it several times to get the color right, but I never did, until I did a black wash over the whole figure, several times. It made the green darker as well as making the details stand out.
I also like the claws a lot! They’re also just FIXIT Sculpt, but came out better than I had thought!

I’m really proud of this figure! The ears aren’t the best, but otherwise I’m really happy with my Jackal! My Spider-Man shelf is getting crowded though!!!
