I had an extra mercury and was tired of my 3 DCDirect qwardians who stood unmoved in years. I popped off the heads of all 3 Qwardians and Mercury and popped the Qwardian head on the Mercury body to see how it would look. I felt it was close enough to scale to work and began working on the mercury body after removing the rubber plate and filling in the holes with green stuff. I began to select my Colors now I wanted the first of my new Qwardians to look like the originals and so I gave him the uni-tard look. the originals figs didn't have the gold circles in the middle but after verifying my color pallet I noticed they almost all have this so I added it as an after thought but I kind of how it makes it stand out.

very cool, looking foreward to your Weaponer. Are you gonna do his regular, or Sinestro Corps look? (or will we have to be surprised?)

I will say this I am using the old Darkseid body as a base. and the head will be an Orion everything will be modified of course but that is where I am starting

the Thunderer head looks good on teh scrawny body, this is just my least favorite of the three, paritally due to the awful design of the costume, but you can only do so much given teh source material. One overall critique for teh three Thunderes would be to give one of them some facial hair, just to set teh heads apart a little bit, so it doesn't look like triplets in the dispaly. Good job though improving a crappy figure.

Totally agree with your statement. I only did this costume to have the original look, which really sucks bad I mean I don't care what universe you live in a uni-tard that is plain lame. I also made them because gee-sh the originals looked so hideous. As for the triplet look, I wanted the 3 to look as similar as possible as well look at most Qwardians it is hard to tell them apart. And any others I do will look very different but will be displayed with them, otherwise I would have changed them up some. Plus when I finish my Weaponer of Qward I want him to stand out as the biggest bulkiest and toughest of them all.
