-Batman: Year 100 is a actually the 3rd custom I've done - and I'm quite happy with it. It started off as a Batman: Dark Victory figure, whose ear got damaged. In doing a reread of the trade, I was inspired, and went to it. I shaved down both ears, so they were both consistent, and then took some out of the middle of the cape, in order that it match the split in the book. I repainted the belt and the body then, to better match the color in the book. I sketched out the bat-symbol on the body itself, in pencil, and then proceeded to paint that in as well. I used a black, ball-point pen to make the sweater-effect on his arms, as the shirt Batman wore in the book was a sweater. I attached an assortment of weapons - including two pieces of equipment from a Star Trek: First Contact Borg figure, a lego-computer, and a mini-gun, that looked an awful lot like a wielding tool, or laser to cut through something.
-I fashioned a few, rudimentary bat-a-rangs out of thin cardboard. I had an official bat-a-rang from a previous Batman figure, but it seemed out of place with the way both the comic presents the character, and inconsistent with the tone I was going for - so I whipped a few up myself.
-That said - I intentionally went with a bit of a rag-tag look to the figure. I appreciated how, in the Year 100 world, Batman didn't have the fortune or the tools of his main stream counterpart. I tried to represent that in how I attached parts, made the bat-a-rangs, painted the symbol, etc. I actually had more precise lines, and a few cleaner cut areas - but did a few repaints in order that the tone be a more accurate to the character.
-Because I am unable to upload more than one pic here, due to size restriction, please check out my twit-pic page, for twitter handle - AllStarBatman.
-Hope you enjoy!

this is my favorite batman for a lot of reasons and the main reasons are hes more human and only holds enough weapons and stuff that he can carry, not over doing it. this figure is so awesome. you did an amazing job

I like it a lot. Different take on Batman, you don't see a custom of him like this very often and you did a great job on yours. Good stuff!
