When I read Spider-Man and Molten Man first appeared, I though ”who is this looser?” and I thought he’d never appear again because I’d never heard of him before. But later when he did make more appearances, I started liking him; “Hey, that’s him again! Go Molten Man!” and I loved it when he became a good guy. So here’s my try at one of my favorite characters!

I knew I had to use Kraven as base, because of his great body.
I looked for a head and thought it was great when Black Arachnis got the Bruce Wayne head, because it looked more like Molten Man’s than any other heads he had.
I dremeled the bracelets(?) off the arms and some wrinkles off his legs.
The base figure didn’t have any hands (ratboy took them!), so I gave him one hand from SF Vega and one from Iron Fist. It’s a bit more punch in these than in Kraven’s tiny girl hands!

I thought painting this figure would be easy – come on, his whole body is yellow, how hard can it be?
But it actually proved to be one of the toughest paint jobs I’ve done!
It’s hard to recreate that gleaming he’s got going on without making him metallic or glossy…
Long story short: I’m happy with the outcome but the colors could have been much better. I just couldn’t repaint it anymore without going crazy. But I’m still very proud of it!
