The Nightbringer is death incarnate, a sadistic god with the power to unmake the stars. It delights in inflicting pain and suffering not only to feed but simply because it can.
I've been a fan of the Necron faction right after I saw someone use this race in a hobby shop when I used to hangout. I used a Resaurus Ken figure for the body and Resaurus Vega for the arms. The head is sculpted from scratch same goes with the rock base. There are three figures on the base one is a dead space marine which is sculpted, a modified Mage Knight figure to another fallen marine then a Hero Clix Multiplex modified to a Necron Lord. The scythe handle is made from an old paint brush and the blade sculpted. I'm not good working with real cloth so I used tarpaulin paper for the tattered cloak and the Necron Lord's cape.
@3bcustoms - Thanks! I had to do the miniatures to show the scale of this figure and also add a scenario thing on the overall look. @Patraw - Thanks bro! Yeah I decided to do a diorama cause I thought it would look better than a plain flat base for the stand. The drapings was actually my wife's idea so I looked for materials that can hold the shape and the tarpaulin paper turned out to be a great material to use. @getsa - Salamat kapatid! The tarpaulin ended looking good on this figure indeed. @Redmist - Ahaha. Well I would ask the DM the same thing, there's no way I'm facing this guy with no boost! Lol. Thanks! @pock63,Finn Varra, toxinvenom, taskmaster 78 - Thank you guys!
Thank you guys for the votes and for those who liked my work! I really appreciate it.
Voting ends for the Tabletop Clash Custom Contest (customizer revealed). - Monday, August 8, 2011
not a fan of "mixed media" type of figs coz it's so hard to incorporate other materials to a full hard plastic figure. most of the time it does not blend in too well...
this is an EXCEPTION of course. those ripped out tarpaulin works well with the fig! I hope NECA sees this one and takes a hint on how they should do the costume of the ghost face figure. haha!
nice display. a great looking figure and a nice looking base to go with it (great add-ons with the little ones on the base). I think this can be used as a playable piece in warhammer. a titan of some sort. hehehe! coz it looks like it's on scale with other titan figs. not sure though. but this is one well made figure.
The figures contained in the Custom Showcase are not for sale by Figure Realm, and the creators of the customs are no way affiliated with Figure Realm. The Custom Showcase is purely for entertainment purposes and only provides a means for the creators to show off their work and trade ideas. Figure Realm does not make or sell customs.
