-This is the Mark Millar and Steve McNiven Nemesis - from their Icon book. -The design and execution was pretty simple. I saw the Ed McGuinness designed Atom figure at a Convention - and nabbed it, thinking it would be a perfect base for this custom. It was then a simple matter of finding the right kind of white, and applying multiple, consistent layers to the body. -The mask I did some detail work on. I intentionally left the mask the way the Atom figure had it - even though Nemesis' face was slightly more covered. I did this because ultimately the identity of the Nemesis is about the man in the suit himself - not the face of the man under it. I thought the look he had here - was perfect, and there was no need to alter that by altering the way the existing mask sat on the face. -The gun was from a G.I. Joe: Extreme Deluxe Iron Klaw. I liked the way it contrasted with the white costume. I drilled a whole in Nemesis' hand, inserted the gun, and actually painted it a shade darker. -I'm happy with the figure and how it came out. It wasn't very challenging, but I like the character and the book it's based on. It adds to my growing collection of customs, very nicely. ![]() |
