Here we go guys!!! My 100th Posted figure on the Realm. Here's to 1000's more!!!!!

Here is Henry Cavill as The Man of Steel. Once I saw the first shot of the costume I knew it couldn't be long before I tried to crack this one into plastic form. We never saw much more past the initial photo but it looks like he's turning japanese I think he's turning Japanese I really think so…. Along with the revamp of the Dc Universe it looks like the new movie Supes will be going commando as is deemed necessary by the great Jim Lee.

The head is from a Last Son of Krypton Superman with the spit curl knocked off and replaced with an Elvis styler boufant… that's ok, I'm from Memphis and have always drawn parallels.. but anyway. The boot tops are smoothed over to fill the gaps in the slight relief there, the entire belt zone has been filled in with Apoxie and then the new pointless belt sculpted over (though I'm still not sure how that's going to go, but I've seen some examples. I have sculpted these ports to semi conceal the entry points of the cape as seen in the first peak photo as well as a hand cut "movie accurate" emblem that is primered along with the rest of the figure before painting.

All in all I was happy to get this one built. I hadn't seen another yet and probably for the same reasons it took me a month to get started. But somebody's got to do it first.

I am proud to present to you Revisionist Toymaker's 100th custom figure here on the Realm.

Thanks guys!!!

NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the head looks very close to Henry Cavills ! - I noticed when I enhanced the picture of him in the suit it looks like his belt is black with a gold circle centre I'm not sure if its because of shadows or anything - this looks awsome man and sorry I havent been on for a while - cheers Mike

congrats on 100 customs! I'm a little surprised to see one of these so soon, especially since we haven't see the mid-section/belt area, but you did a really clean custom! I'm working on one too (naturally), but mine has texture on the entire suit, boots, and symbol. Just waiting to see what that mid-section looks like before finishing it. So far I'm really diging the movie suit and that's saying something b/c I'm a traditonalist. Great job buddy! on this one and the other new Supes you posted!

Yeah. I have a theory on a paint method to pull off that texture but I don't want to cover the whole body with apoxie but I'll have to test that out. Theres a lot of drying windows to keep track of bit I do have a coplu other tricks up my sleeves.

Cool - yeah I'm covering the entire body with super sculpey in VERY thin layers and then using a ball stylus to add subtle texturing. It's pretty uniform so far. I posted a teaser pic in the Customizer's Workbench section of FWOOSH in the WIP section. I'd HATE to actually PAINT the texture and try to get it uniform. Good luck on that one! Will be watching!

Well then you've done it sir, you've forced my hand. It's a duel. Prepare to be amazed at how unprepared you are to be amazed at how quickly things can be prepared... PREPARE!!!

please note my sarcasm, my wife says I sound like an a$$hat.… BUT also know I've been a huge admirer of your work along with our parallel tastes in character choice… You are a madman. I checked out your WIP on the fwoosh… yowser son, It's on.

Ah my friend from the mountains of TN! Your sense of humor is flatulant! LOL! As always I look forward to what you have in store! Funny enough - I'm working on a color Kirk Alyn figure right now. I can't crank 'em out as quick as you do but once again, we're on the same wavelength. And thanks for the kind words about the WIP pic from FWOOSH
