This was a repaint with a little sculpting once I removed the cape. fairly simple and elegant and I was extremely happy with the result. This was a testors project so it is a tad on the glossy side but I currently am planning on a 2.0 with a repaint in citadel paints
Instead of a re-paint, you could use Testor's Model Master flat clear acryl to dull the finish. Just make sure you stir it up real well before you use it.
Actually I am so sold on citadel and other paints now that I have got rid of all my Testors paints and I mean all of them. What I didn't use up I sold. I will barely use Testors Model masters metallic, and only cause those are some sweet colors. I am turning my back on Testors! Citadel and Vallejo and even Warhammer Paints are leaps and bounds better especially on flesh tones and even the bane of my existence Yellow. I do like Tamiya some what, I think their clear coats are the best thing ever. Testors has not pleased me for decades I just made due. Six months ago I had made enough money $elling figs and making commissions I was able to make the switch. I have had more special requests, commissions and sales since I made the switch than I ever thought I would see. So the verdict is Testors is out for good.
