After seeing X-Men: First Class in theaters and seeing how awesome Michael Fassbender was in the film, it was obvious to me I needed to have a figure version of him for my X-Men movie collection.
The figure started out as a Hasbro ML Daredevil figure with the head and helmet from a Toy Biz ML Magneto.
I slightly modified the face to give it a better likeness, including resculpting the hair. I sanded off some of the trim on his helmet and sculpted new details to make it screen accurate.
I sculpted over the musculature of the body completely to make the jacket and pants and then added costume details like the straps, zippers, and shoulder and elbow pads.
After all the sculpting was done, it was just painted and sealed.
Overall I'm quite happy with how the figure came out. I may go back later and fix a few small things but it was a fun figure to make and it looks great on my shelf with the rest of the cinematic X-Men.
I do have plans for more characters from the film, with Azazel and Banshee next on the list.
