This one has been a trial mostly cause it tool a lot of weird different parts to make. This is my take on Chaselon early in his career I say that cause he has become more rounded as he has developed and this is more the original oblong shape similar to that of Diamalon. My theory is as this species gets older the grow like any crystal and some in different shapes. But I will let you guys make the final call is this Chaselon or Diamalon?? Soon to how I made this crazy character I went on a cruise a few years ago on while I was on the cruise I saw this crystal glass that made me think of both characters. The guy at the Belize market sold it to me for $2. Then I had to figure out how to attach limbs drilling the glass is very difficult but I was able to make divots in the glass but nothing substantial enough to hold the limbs. So it took an adjustable pipe clamp and lined it up to the divots made a couple of wholes for the limbs so the where articulated. covered that in sculpy and boiled it then coated it but it was a tad brittle so I cooked it as much as I dare with out cracking the glass very difficult to do. honestly but once it had cooled I added a old school plastic green lantern ring in the chest and it sat in this state on my shelf to be worked on for a long while as I tried to figure out the best way to do a Mohawk. Recently I found this fringe material that looked like hair and had my wife sew it into a few layers and at the right length to be glued down for hair.I decided to put a thin layer of green stuff on the belt to finish it of and then I painted it. So is this Diamalon or Chaselon? I am working on another one out of plastics so your decision will help me on naming the next one too.
