Manga Classic Rogue (Misc) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:3252
Name:Manga Classic Rogue
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Misc
Creator:drop_of_caramel
Date Added:July 15, 2007
Base Figure:Ghost in a Shell
Height:7.00 inches
Finally finished my classic Rogue. This one was a little toughy since it's harder to work with PVC then plastic, for me at least. Well I buffed, scultped and then painted. I had to take a lot off on the sholders, hands, and body...well all over lol. Then I touched the eyes lightly to make them blue. I hope you like. I am always open to comments or advice ;)

She looks insanely cool. Good choice in a base fig Motoko. Hope you have more anime/ manga girls on the way cause I can't wait to see them!

Very nice job on this custom. That is a very pretty anime Rogue and it's a really neat, unique take on a character that has been around for quite some time. Great job with the eyes. (I think I'm enamored with this figure haha).

Thanks guys. And yes I changed the eye color to blue and painted her lips with Red. I sculpted her belt buckle and painted the X's on her jacket and the front one (which was the hardest lol) I will be submitting a Green Lantern hottie in the next couple days for the comp. Watch out for her. She is coming out very nicely. A lot of sculpt work on her. I just need to pait her up.

for what the base figure was I think you did a decent job. paint lines are crisp and clean with no bleeding.

Wow, looks good
Again, great paint apps, looks real smooth and the lines are straight. Did you redo the eyes too? Punstarrs right, the face looks excellent
Shoulders don't look too bad, they only look bumpy in one picture, nothing very noticeable. I think they look fine they way they are, but thats your call.
Nicely done, looking forward to seeing more

I know sanding is very tedious and time consuming. I hear from other customizers that if you damp the sculting material while doing the sculpting the smoothness comes out much better. I am still learning the craft but some of the tutorials in this site are done by experts with a lot of experience you should check them out. I really like the figures and themes you are creating is great to see original interpretations of characters in this site. I would love if you comented on my customs especially the female figures I have done. Some of my pics are horrible but I am new at this hobby and still learning. Keep up the great work.

Hey Dedi! I am glad you like my girls
Hey Carlos! Yeah I noticed that the shoulder needed sanding as well after the pics were up but it is very hard to sand since it's a hard pvc and make it look smooth. I decided to try to sculpt very thinly on the shoulder and then sand lightly which should fix it. What do you think? And thank you for the suggestion.

I like your figures a lot for this one I noticed that in the shoulder area you may want to do some more sanding. I know how tedious sanding is my first custom Conan was posted when I tought it was done. After I looked at the pic in the site I (and some fellow customizer noticed that the chest area needed more sanding, it happens you sometimes miss it, but can always return to the figure to fix it. Other than that your figure looks great. I also have done some female figures and I am working on some more an original Amazom Warrior and Red Sonja among others (barbarian types of course)
