She's a simple one. My strengths lie more in painting than sculpting, and this project was a simple repaint. It took me most of the week to fix my airbrush after starting on her and the nozzle getting a nasty airflow clog. I spent a week, disassembling the air brush, cleaning and reassembling and testing and repeating to find the source of the problem. I tried out some Tamiya paints I bought last year but never liked due to their weak application. Turned out that Tamiya paints require more than just a shake, but actually stirring them in the jar and then thinning them down. The good thing is that I used the flat paint and even the flat seems to cure very sturdy. More work than I like out of my paints, but the results seem to have worked out alright.
So here's April, in her cartoon colors instead of the Blue jump suit from SDCC.
Thanks! The dumpster is some kind of wrestling accessory, the walls are hand painted and airbrushed pre-molded brick plastruct sheets glued to a cardboard box. But it looks kinda real, right?
Thanks! I like the majority of the sculpt, but I couldn't hack the blue color scheme. But I heard it was based on the ownership of the yellow color scheme of all things.
