You mix a little water into your paint (so it gets a little watery) and then "wash" the figure (you still use the paintbrush). It gets paint into the little nooks and crannies that dry-brushing misses. I don't see a lot of people doing it (at least they don't mention it) but you'd probably do a good job at it.
