-There is a brief story to this. As I was completing the Kid Miracle Man I submitted on here, a few months ago - I was also completing my personal run of the the issues to this series. In doing that - I came across issue 13, which became stimulus for me to do this figure. The attitude and demeanor on the cover to issue 13, became the vision I brought, as well as the incentive for the base figure.
-The base figure is a Marvel Legends Sentry. His facial expression is perfect. It's confident, relaxed, powerful, thoughtful, and victorious - much like the attitude presented on the cover. Also, his body type is a closer fit to what I was after, as I used a McGuiness base for my previous Marvel Man custom.
-Everything was free-hand painted. I blocked off a few areas, of the main part of the symbol, with pencil - but everything was steady-handed in.
-The wrist gauntlet's, ankle gauntlet's, and the belt are all pseudo-cardboard - specifically paint samples that I cut down to the proper size, painted, and superglued on.
-I'm thrilled with how it came out...as well as having him put up in the air on that stand. I thought, given the attitude of MM at this point in the series...floating was the most appropriate place for him to me. Looking forward to any type of feedback you all have. Thanks for checking it out!
