Ganthet is one of the Guardians of the Universe. However, where most of the Guardians are very stern 'by-the-book' characters, Ganthet has a personality that is more human-like, including displays of empathy and concern for an individual, instead of only thinking of the Green Lantern Corps. In various DC crossover limited series, Ganthet is shown as being part of the Quintessence, a group of near-omnipotent beings who oversee the results of what happens on Earth.

In my Movie Story - hes the one that has lobbied for John Stewart to get a second chance at being a Green Lantern after his dishonorable discharge from the corps after his failure in the Xanshi incident...
The rest of the Corps want John temporarily reinstated until he finds Jordan and trains his replacement - Kyle Rayner, but Ganthet all along wants John back fulltime and thinks its folly to rely on the raw Rayner recruit...

Macguyver Modelmaking

The body of Ganthet is actually a Small Macdonalds drinks cup inverted and wire put thru the top in a T configuration - to make the neck and arms
Head and hands are scratch built sculpted in Fimo and fired - the large Ganthet cranium is tinfoil base with Fimo sculpt over it...

Body was fleshed out with tinfoil and scotchtape - then black ducttape to make his gown with a Movie Doctor Dooms coat cut up for the tabard back and front parts
His shoulder/neck collar and his Lantern symbol are scratchbuilt in Metallic green Fimo and flourescent green Fimo

the chest symbol will glow under a Black light(UV)Lamp
