An evil Spectre on Earth-3 was shown in Countdown issue #31 (2008) of the Crime Society.

The Spectre was meant to exist as the embodiment of the Wrath of God, and Jim Corrigan was but the latest human spirit assigned to guide him while he existed on Earth. On Earth-3 however, God cared little for humans, which he deemed failures and the Spectre was as corrupted as their world. The human host, Jim Corrigan, selected for Aztar was a thief and murderer, deemed ruthless enough to carry out God's will on earth. The host betrayed God and joined the Crime Society.

However, Lucifer, on this world, a force for good, loved the humans despite their flaws, seeing the capacity for good despite the dark universe they resided in. He removed the host from Aztar and bound him to a good man. Now the Spectre wears a red cloak to remind himself of the blood he has taken and a mask as he dare not show his face to the world as he tries to repent and exact vengeance on the many evils of Earth-3.
