Giant-Man Bill Foster (Marvel) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:33947
Name:Giant-Man Bill Foster
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel
Creator:fastfreddie
Date Added:October 28, 2011
Base Figure:WWE Bobby Lashley
Height:12.00 inches
A straight off rip of STEVID's Black Goliath. I call this version Giant-Man because the Thing gave him that name during MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #55, when he had changed into this new costume, although I do like the name Black Goliath better. Used the WWE 12" Bobby Lashley and figured out the head didn't work good, so I remembered STEVID had made one of these a time or two(8 or 9 but who's counting??), so I went to the FR archives vault and seen his recipe for a Chris Jericho head, which works perfectly and is even a close match to the 7.5" one I had made using a Kane head. Anyways, I sculpted the boot cuffs, the gloves (used Hulk hands), filled in joint holes, and sculpted the shirt lines. The laces were thumb tacks and rubber bands. The belt is heavy craft foam. I primed this with grey vinyl paint, then put a base coat of blue plastic paint for the pants and gloves, then a mix of the blue plastic paint and white for the white parts. I laid a green basecoat down for the yellow parts. I then drybrushed metallic blue over the blue areas and a foundation white over the white parts and bright lemon yellow and metallic gold over the yellow parts. Airbrushed it some for shading. Sealed and ready to roll. I took a photo with the Thing with his arm in a sling for homage to PROJECT PEGASUS where he worked with Bill Foster

Man, this is beautifully painted. Another FF masterpiece! Once again, I love that new logo. Cosmic fantasy customs is the man. That's funny how he made me, and you a new logo pretty much at the same time. I guess we are a lot a like, like you've mentioned in the past.

suprasizeme - I think the 12" scale is easier in some aspects, harder in others. It does require more sculpting material, more paint...ah, you get the picture. But, the end result is a satisfying experience, kinda like biting into a York Peppermint patty.

loosecollector - I have that one also, but haven't opened it to inspect it. I like the classic costume better than that modern one anyday. I'd like to make one of these using the expert version of the BAF Giant-Man torso and arms with the ICON Capt. America unmasked head, gloves and boots. Thank you kind sir for the comment

Redmist - thank you 'Mist

dbocustoms - I haven't read too awful much either, I just know he's dead now...lol! The Marvel Two-in-one just stuck out in my head all these years and really liked that costume.

pulpyfiction - you can thank Stevid for this one! He is king of the goliaths!

Cosmic Fantasy Customs - I put the sling on the wrong arm

Kull.3397 - honored you think so!

Mighty FF ....every job is awesome! Compliments!

G_Rantula - appreciate it, these big ones can be time consuming
Excellent work!?!

gipsy83 - I thank you, gipsy.

Thanks CFC! I messed up and put the sling on the wrong arm. One of the ref. photos I was using must've been backwards because after further research I saw that the sling was on the left arm!
