I took the figure's hair and the belt off. I sculpting with epoxy putty the ears, the hair, the shoes and the shirt. After this I made the belt and holster with thin leather. The buckle of the belt was made with wire. The pistol was taken from a cheap soldier and the magazines were made with small pieces of rubber. The katana was made from a plastic sheet with the handle taken from the handle of another weapon. The sheath was made with cardboard and braided thread. The skirt was made with plastic pieces and epoxy putty. For the hair I used doll hair. The sailor's collar was made with small piece of white cloth. The final step was paint all the parts! I hope you enjoy it!
this is so amazing, one of my favorite new characters. I am working on one, but love this concept and execution. this is one spot on custom. curious though if you have a detailed description of how to make the skirt? would love to make one myself.
HI Cosmic FC! Well I take a thinny sheet of bendable plastic(like gel hair´s tube or similar) and cut several rectangular pieces. I glue (with instant glue)to the waist and after this I glue another round of rectangular pieces over the first round but displaced to make the effect of the skirt. This type of construction give mobility to the skirt and the figure. Over the several pieces of rectangular pieces of the skirt I made the upper part of the skirt with epoxy putty. Well, I hope this description help you with wour babydoll custom. Greetings, from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
thanks, truly appreciated. I had heard of that technique, but not used it. with your description I feel a bit more informed. muchas gracias mi amigo. check out the forums (you have to sign up for it, like the showcase) and look up my wip of her in the custom workstation. love your custom and thanks again, if I can help with anything just let me know.
Yes, the hair sculpting and the correct paint with little likeness make a great likenss. I take the Psylocke version with flat sole boots. Thanks for your feedback!
