You can't have a Marvel Showdown and not invite Deadpool to the party! He'd find someway to crash it anyway, so decided to take Deadpool back in time to the Samurai age and give this motor-mouth merc his ninja roots.
The Cyber Ninja base figure had barely enough articulation to scratch his sack, so gave it some new joints from random figures, and a couple of spare hands holding his "preferred" weapons. Remade a pair of hands to hold the sai properly, and got the pistols from Capt. Jack Sparrow. Repainted to match Deadpool's costume and even kept his belt buckle the same - just to show that some things never change. Hey, why mess with a good thing!
Well, that wraps up the Showdown series, but there's always an endless source of Marvelites to choose from for next time! Sometimes doing these series allows one to set a goal - a certain number of customs to make, as an incentive to get them done. From experience, it certainly does keep the ball rolling and gets those customs off the back burners. Sure, if a person had the time, they could philosophize that it's a state of mind when the stars align, or wonder if it's a Pharaoh's curse that a camel can't walk in reverse. But if these questions are too deep, then customizing figures is where to be! Finish one today, man!
