This Robin Williams action figure was made using a Mr. Fantastic head (from the Fantastic Four box set) and a DC Direct Superboy with sculpted hair. The hands are from a Fei Long figure so that way Mork can use his powerful finger. HaHa It was a pretty easy custom except I had to cut the arm pegs off and drill holes in the end of his arms to get the hands to work. Unfortunately, I had to leave the belt on the figure (Mork didn't have one on the TV show) otherwise the waist would have been loose. I think it looks better with the belt anyway. For those of you that don't know Mork was on a TV show in the late 70's and early 80's called "Mork and Mindy". Mork was an alien sent to Earth to observe human behavior and report back weekly to his leader, Orson. He meets and falls in love with an earth woman, Mindy, who tries to teach him what it is like to be human. This is the character that launched Robin Williams into stardom. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for all the comments. I'm not too crazy about my Mindy custom, but I think Mork turned out great!!! I just wanted to do something a little different. Maybe it will be a contest someday, "TV Stars"!!! Thanks again for all the kind words, I appreciate them.
"Na-Nu Na-Nu!" Man, I used to have the Mego action figure of Mork (and he was a bada$$ in my alternate action figure universe lol), and I have had this character on a list of customs I wanted to make in the future. I thought that nobody would ever think to make a Mork custom - thanks for proving me wrong! This brought a huge smile to my face. Cheers!
