"Ulik will break Thor, then Asgard!!!" Next up is my favorite Thor enemy. I started with the white Wendigo/ Sasquatch base from Toybiz Legends, along with 1st Beast shoulders, bicepts and forearms, Hasbro Spiderman classics Juggernaut fists, DCUC Kalibak head, feet and lower body of Etrigan (perfect swap, no work at all). Sculpted hair bangs, mesh over chest and back, shoulder straps and damaged Uru/ iron studs. belt is combo of vyco board and DCUC Orion and Trigon accessory bits (not exact but Orion, Kalibak and Ulik happen to be Kirby creations, so it seemed to fit). Airbrushed, hand-painted and drybrushed with Testors and Citadel paints, finished with Citadels Purity Seal protectant spray. Very durable, heavy, posable and as detailed as I could get it. I'm not sure that I'm sold on the bottom half of this figure, because I feel like it changes too abruptly to something smaller than what I consider his build to be, BUT I do commend you for being bold enough not to go the normal Hulk route for a base, but instead to use an ML4 Beast, which I think looks brilliant, especially with those banded Juggy hands - nice touch! so yeah, that would be my only nitpick, but that's just my personal taste really. the paintwork and the detail look excellent though and they sell it either way.
I bet namb gets this on evilb*y! if he doesn't I will be surprised! I been waiting and waiting and I do believe this is the be all end all of Ulik customs and the recipe is just perfect. I really need to get more into swapping out the parts! the paint on this is flawless. I can't even tell it's been airbrushed. looks really clean and factory! amazing job BOOKER! IF YOU CAN MAKE IT...THEN BOOK IT!!!
