Hello again.I have been wanting to do this custom for a long while now and finally collected all the parts I needed to make it a reality.I stared off with a ML days of future past wolverine, removed the claws and head.Replaced the head with that of a ML bearded Sentry. The jacket was glued closed. The satchel, holster and sidearm all came from a ML Kang,...I think. The gun belt is a rubber band with a piece of fodder glued to it. The bandolier comes form a ML Longshot. The dynamite is actually a pair of Daredevils nun-chucks, cut in half and painted, the rope trimmed into fuses. His hair and gloves were repainted. The Thing has been one of my favorite films since childhood, and I really wanted to do a worthy custom.I hope you guys like him as much as I do. Comments and critiques are encouraged and appreciated!
He IS the baddest mofo in Sci-fi! One of my near future projects is to do another MacReady, and hopefully the rest of the cast too! Thanks for checking him out Jason!
Yeeesssss! That's the way! Kurt Russell and Carpenter would be pleased a lot even with his whisky bottle! Perfect on every detail, jacket, dynamite, the beard, hair...everything! What about making a classic Snake Plissken from 1997 Escape from NY? Would be great! And with your talent I'm sure that would be perfect too. Your work is always excellent and this one has the movie feeling, nice one!
Thank you so much for the kind words Groo! This is actually one of my favorites too. I had to sell this one, but when I make another one I'll post it,...maybe I'll include a little snow frosting on the clothes and hair next time! Snake Plissken is an excellent idea! I will definitely give that a shot in the future! ...and seriously, thank you for checking out my customs man, it means a lot and gives me inspiration to continue.
Awesome! This is an awesome custom. MacReady is one of the most awesome characters in a John Carpenter movie, and seeing this only reassures it for me.

Really badass in every way! I can't believe I had missed seeing this before now!
