I have felt that if they ever made a Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe 2, it should have been based on Blackest Night. Death and the undead are huge recurring themes in MK, and I felt that it would be a spectacular fit. Sadly, it appears as if an MKvDCU 2 is not in the cards.

I took the 2011 Mortal Kombat Klassic release of Scorpion to serve as the base. The challenge with this one was to make it undeniably a Black Lantern, while at the same time leaving him unmistakably Scorpion. If I just painted his suit black or gray I might as well had made him Noob Saibot or Smoke. So what I did, was I wetbrushed over the yellow with a couple of different shades of gray, which I feel worked out VERY well. It looks dirty and grungy, but you can still tell it's Scorpion. His flesh is a sickly gray, and I popped on a Ghost Rider head for added effect. I really am pleased at how the blackfire turned out on his head. Add the Black Lantern symbol and ring, and we're done! This is one of the figures I've been most pleased with the turnout for, in a long, long time!
