Ok this one was a toughy to get right, but I finally got a piece I can say was acceptable. Isamot, is a pretty cool lizard-type Green Lantern and the partner of Vath. I have seen people use transplanted dino or Croc heads before and while those figs look great, I wanted my own brand on this piece so I sculpted the head entirely from Apoxysculpt. Next came the tail...while it's not posable it does present the appearance of being "alive". I sculpted it from sculpey mounted it uncured and began dipping it in boiling water and "posing" the tail as it would cure - a little at a time. Of course I sculpted the ring but like Vath, he has the "round" style lantern ring. None of my pics show it but you can see the logo sculpted in the ring just like on Vath's ring. Next was the gauntlets and that was easy enough - just shaved the Black panther gauntlets some and scupted with apoxy to get the gauntlet tops. Finally came the toes - I chopped the front of BP's feet off leaving part of the toe hinge (I was way too lazy at this point to pop pins out as I had just swapped a mess of parts on my Kilowog Mk. 2) So I then sculpted the toes onto the part I had remaining. Now the toes are still hinged but also very "Isamot-like". As I look at it I realize I left this figure with 5 fingers - Isamot only has 4 - DOH!!!!!! well keeps me humble (shrug). I also wish I had taken some WIP shots but I was feeling the mojo and wanted to finish this piece up. Hope you Lantern fans out there enjoy it and thanks for looking!

no, I was dipping it in boiling water, then as it was still very hot (please be careful when doing this) I would stand the figure up and position the tail how I wanted it. I had to do that about 5 times before everything took completely. Now the tail is nice and hard though and in the position I wanted it in. It was just a regular sculpy though, well it was a sort of metallic silver color but regular sculpy not the flexible stuff which I didn't know about until now! woot! Flexible sculpy!! I gotta get me some of that!

thank you buddy! It was a blast to make (except for the parts where I was cussing at the mouth part drooping on me while I sculpted details on it)

Thanks Doc! Yes I forgot to mention in the descrip that I painted the logos, still haven't bought new ink for my printer heh...oh and I totally got lazy and painted the teeth on because I thought sculpting them would be a pain in the hindquarter - although now that it's over, sculpting them might have been just as easy!
oh and thanks for getting that approved so fast!
