I generally just read the customs from oldest to newest, and if people just updated their old thread, I would never see it.
Other may use the site a different way, but that's how I use it.
However, I have a question to the powers that be - the moderators or administrators or whatever it is called - about figure submissions for the custom showcase.
If someone has new pictures to show of a figure that he/she has already submitted, should they submit the same figure again, like redmist has done here? I know Kyle leaves a link to his site in the figure's forum thread, and personally if I have more pictures that I'd like to show I just post them in the forum, same thing even if I have repainted the figure and all.
I know I've seen people re-submit a figure just to show clearer photos (where they originally were blurry), where instead I would have thought it would be better if the existing submitted figure's entry was updated with the better photos, so that there aren't two entries of the exact same figure with just different pictures, (for example, a Custom Spider-Wolverine with blurry photos and one Custom Spider-Wolverine with clear photos (though the figure itself is exactly the same) or, how different should the figure be to deserve to be submitted as a new entry? I know that at some point there was a question on how much a figure would have to be changed to be entered into a contest if it's already been submitted to the showcase and Nightmare, I think it was, said it would have to be more than repainted, like added sculpting/parts or something like that. Does that apply for submitting amy figure to the showcase that's already in the showcase or is it just for contests, is, I guess my ULTIMATE question here.
Sorry for hogging this thread redmist, don't think it's an attack on you or anything, for submitting this again, I'd just like to know how things should be done so that I can follow that.
