Hey there fellas and gals!

For this Bats, I really wanted to learn how to do the wire cape thing. So many of you have done it and TheGreatOne has been awesomely tutoring me by line-of-sight with his photos. I also wanted to do more of a color scheme harkening to the blue hues on the black. The game is just so good at flexing between blacks and blues it's just perfect.

SO...I got the light blue and gray version SINGLE pack (since I don't need another FOUR Two Faces from the set), and I reapinted this cat with a focus on blues first. Several blues were used, starting light and working towards dark. Tossed in some black washes, and dry aluminum 'dusted' the guantlets and the boot armor.

As stated, the cape was the genesis of this figure, so here's my first-ever attempt at a wired cape. I used my usual cape methodology, but this time I took some wire and glued it to the long top edge of the cape, which was wet. Wet cloth accepts the glue easier (I don't know why-just my experience with it), and leaves no glue 'crust'. After I glued it, I tightly rolled the top of the cape once around the wire to hold it in after it dried so as to hold the seal-that was a process, I assure you. It's really difficult to work that small and tightly and NOT glue yourself to EVERYTHING.

I also attached a single wire down the back that starts at the edge where the cape attaches to his back and runs through the center fold in the back 'wing'. The cape was also soaked in a weak black paint solution to darken it up-it was a pretty bright blue initially and the JoAnns was out of the darker hue I wanted.

So here he is: 'Attempt One' complete, and I love it's look and poseability. I HAVE to do a Superman now like this! Critique away!!

Fitz, Again this is fantastic!!! Is this the figure that has the old style bat logo painted on the chest? If so, how did you get that logo on there? Is it sculpted or painted or a decal?? Cause it looks great!!!

He looks great. The blue and yellow paints on him have a nice sense of depth to them and the cape is spectacular. Very nice work.

I use the Super Glue brand gel, comes in a small orange mini-toothpaste-looking tube with a black cap. Usually in a two-pack. Hope this helps! -Fitz
