Hello. This is my first attempt at a superman. I stared out with a ML Power man,..the one with the 70's style collared shirt. I removed the head and dremmeled the collar off of the shirt, then I dremmeled the flared boots down. I sculpted, molded, and cast the head. I know he looks kind of weird but I'm still learning about sculpting. I kind of wanted him to be different anyway. The cape came from a ML Sentry figure and the belt is a rubber band and a styrene circle. The "S" was drawn on a piece of electrical tape and then painted over. The whole figure was then hand painted. I tried to do something a little different with the colors while sticking to the classic scheme. Comments and critiques are welcome and encouraged! Thanks for checking him out!
Thank you kind sir! I agree with you, sculpting for a 6" figure is very difficult. Thats why I started to learn to mold and cast, that way if I sculpt a good head,I just make a mold of it and cast it in plastic! Thank you so much for commenting!
Nice. Very 1940s, like he stepped out of a Golden Age comic. The muted colors are a nice refreshing change. Only quibble, I'd like to see his spitcurl peeling off that widow's peak. But terrific work, especially considering you cast the head!
Thank you so much man! The molding and casting went a lot smoother than the sculpting but hey it's all a journey. I'm really glad you dig the colors too!
Thanks man,..he's definitely not my best work but I guess they can't all be winners,..after seeing the photos I totally see where he needs improvement. I'll be updating this guy for sure!
