After months of not having time to work on this figure I made myself sit down and finish it.
I enjoyed Beast quite a bit in "First Class", particularly his look, it definitely improved on the characters appearance in X3.
I was able to pick up a couple of the Claw Strike Wolverine figures on sale at my local comic book shop, so I decided I might as well start this figure using that as a base, and I can thanks Fitzjedi for the inspiration behind that.
I popped off the lower legs and lower arms of Wolverine and added the lower arms and legs from the X-Men: The Last Stand Beast. I cut the parts so that they would fit on the existing pegs and still retain articulation. I had to sand down the lower legs to make a smoother transition from the rest of the leg of Wolverine, after which I sculpted the fur.
I then took off Wolverine's rubber torso piece and sculpted the torso.
I decided to keep Wolverine's head, so I sculpted the fur on top. I decided to sculpt over his neck articulation for the sake of bulking up his neck.
After all the sculpting was said and done, it was painted and sealed.
I'm still not entirely happy with the choice to use Wolvie's head, but for the mean time I'm satisfied and happy to have it done. He looks great with the team and with him done I'm ready to move onto slightly less time consuming members like Prof. X and Havok.
