Before you look at the pics, PLEASE READ ;) This is NOT my current Venom figure I just posted this one because I found the old pics of him off of my old cam, I made this one about a year ago,here's the story how I made him, I was in my local hobby store after discovering this sight and a realmer by the name of ViperPrime I decided to make my own Venom fig, haha, so I found a Booker T figure and said "this guy's body is perfect for the buffer Venom from the SM3 game" :D I bought him, pulled his hair off and my grandma bought me my first set of Apoxie Sculpt,I basically copied ViperPrime's movie Venom, hehe, I had NO experience with customizing but I was great at art, so the first couple of times were pretty horrific, then after going through literally 5 attempts with different figures, 2nd attempt was Batista, then Bobby Lashley (he's also the current base for the one I'm half way done on). So I made this first figure and was pleased with him at the time then later on I said this guy could be 5 times better, I thought it was terrible and sloppy his head was out of proportion, the colors weren't accurate enough, the Spider emblems were just bad and he had no muscle detail (All fixed with my current version), so I kept trying with more figures and got better as I was practicing as I went, so you guys can consider this a Before and the current Venom figure an after when I'm done with him and share him with you guys ;)Please tell me what you guys think of my FIRST figure, I love to look at this one because he shows me where I started. Keep a look out for the improved one.
Recipe
Sculpted in Apoxie from head to toe, in thin layers, used tooth pick to make pattern, Painted in Flat Black then painted in Gunmetal (yeah ViperPrime had a lot of influence on this one) :3 Sculpted the webbing and painted in a white/ black mix, Spider emblem sculpted and painted in Pearl White. Hands from SM3 Venom Unleashed figure.
