This is one of my favorite characters (along with the other heralds), due to the fact I loved the battle of the heralds. For the recipe I used a maestro fig and seperated the upper & lower body (reconnected using magnets, hulk the end head and Thor axe. I sculpted the wrist gauntlets, stomach armor, armored boots with spikes and so many body details (bumps or whatever they are).
Great use of the Maestro! I love how the bubbled "skin boils" turned out, and your paints are sharp! Sorry I missed this one, and didn't get to it sooner! Good stuff for sure!
thanks so much pulpy, that really means a lot coming from you. love the heralds and have plans on making firelord, nova and another surfer. thanks again.
Sorry I didn't comment on Morg sooner I was away for a while. Then when I saw him I wasn't sure who he was, don't get me wrong he is amazing looking! So I decided to do my homework before commenting...
"Morg was a simple executioner on the planet of Caraner. It was a medieval world of war and retribution, until the day the world devourer Galactus consumed it. The selfish executioner was spared the fate of the other inhabitants of Caraner, because he foolishly opposed Galactus. The world devourer selected the ruthless Morg as Herald. He would later replace the Earth girl Nova (Frankie Raye)." -Marvel Online
Now I knew about Silver Surfer and Nova, but somehow Morg here slipped my attention, and from what I've seen of him you managed to perfectly nail his every detail down on this custom, he looks like the artist renditions I've seen on the Marvel Online profile for him perfectly. I can see clearly that you put a lot of thought and skill into to this custom and he really stands out as one of your best, I have to agree with other comments, the boils in his flesh and the texture make him look as if he is brimming over with rage and sheer evil.
man this is a true honor to hear that, seriously thanks for the comment, truly appreciated and glad you are back. I love galactus and his heralds and will be doing more, so stay on the look out and thanks again.
Can't believe I didn't throw one down on this. I even formed the comment in my head and everything, that's wierd, I guess I got distra.... wait... where was I? This looks so awesome, I recognized the genius right away. The little one was really cool, but this is just biggerer and badasserer. Nicely done buddy!
thanks that means so much since you are one of the kings of the community. honored and humbled and thanks a lot for the awesome comment. it did take a while and redos to sculpt this fig.
truly honored to hear that, means a lot. one of my favorite heralds, even though he killed nova. always love getting comments from my customizing heroes.
