Strong Guy first appeared in New Mutants #29 (July 1985) and in the 90s X-Factor comic series he joined the team as a Government operative. When the X-Factor title was revamped to cover the exploits of Jamie Madrox's detective agency X-Factor Investigations Strong Guy returned to become Madrox's enforcer. Strong Guy is a mutant with superhuman strength which he can increase by absorbing kinetic energy. To Strong Guy's misfortune the absorption of this kinetic energy has resulted in his upper body becoming overly-muscled and disproportionate.
