Today, I present my take on Mr. Fantastic. The base body used was the Sinestro from the GL 2pack. I wanted mine to be slender and tall, athletic but not too buff. While I've seen a few done before, the medium size buck from Mattel would have been just a bit too much for Reed, IMO. I swapped out the T-rex forearms with a set from Spectre-his open hand as well, fist from Dr. Midnight and a new set of feet from Nightwing. The head was a cast from DMC. I also imbedded magnets into his arm and limbs so I could swap out the ML hand to give him his trademark stretch look. The only thing is, its a bit too heavy for the figure to stand on its own, so over the head it must be.
Anyways, thanks for looking, feedback always appreciated. Group shot included, so feel free to check out my submissions of Johnny and Sue as well.
man, your entire Fantastic Four is awesome, but this Mr. Fantastic takes the cake. The eyes are super-expressive, and the paintwork...just top notch. Keep up the great work!
I totally agree with your thoughts on reed's frame, and you got that quintessential look you were going for! Nice job with the accessories. I think hand would probably work more than just overhead with the right base and foot pegs! Sweet work!
