I got married last May and when it came to my groomsmen's gifts I got stuck. I'm that guy who will give you an action figure for your birthday… I don't care who you are.. If I see something that makes me think of you… that's what you get. But of course for a wedding, showing up with the newest Predator or Scarface or RoboCop wasn't really gonna cut it. Depicted on the insides and outsides of these packages are my Brother, Brother-In-Law, and best friend from High School/College. The trio are appropriately named "The Groomsmen" and these three are united under OPERATION BLACKTIE. Each figure features a Tuxedo design card backer with a huge blister with the "Groomsmen" logo across the bottom. The back of each card is unique to each member of the force with a brief rundown GiJoe style with CodeName/RealName/Origins/SpecialSkills/Relation to Groom followed by just a brief sentimental paragraph to each of these guys who have all been like brothers to me. The figures themselves are all built on Movie Master Joker bodies (tie and vest) and joker thug jackets. Each head was picked for its relative likeness to each member. My brother (freshfaced clean cut fella) was a Batman Beyond unmasked figure with a little extra hair sculpted on. My Brother In Law (Old Man) was a John Cena with a total Do-transplant, my best freind (Fauxhawk) was another wrestler with hair sculpted on. Response was great from all three guys wen I gave them to them at the rehearsal dinner and It was definitely the coolest gift I've ever given. ![]() |
