Conan the King 1.5 (Conan) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:3829
Name:Conan the King 1.5
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Conan
Creator:Maelstrom
Date Added:August 30, 2007
Base Figure:WWE Deluxe Aggression "Triple H" / McFarlane Conan Box Set
Height:7.50 inches
Conan the King 1.5 is made from a WWE Deluxe Agression "Triple H" figure with pieces from the McFarlane Conan series King Conan box set. I wanted to make an ARTICULATED King Conan in the likeness of the McFarlane box set one, so I set to work. I used the head from my original armoured King Conan as I am replacing the head on that one with a helmeted one (forthcoming). I modified a contemporary Masters of the Universe "He-Man's" harness to attach the shoulder pads to. The shield is from a LOTR "Easterling" figure and the sword is from McFarlane's "leaping" Conan figure. The cape comes from a Stan Winston's Realm of the Claw "Nakuru". With the exception of bendable wrists, this figure retains all the points of articulation that the WWE Deluxe Agression figures have. I imagine this is much the way Conan would have looked in Robert E. Howard's story "The Phoenix on the Sword". The heads on both this and the forthcoming improved armoured King Conan will be swappable.

As always your Conan figures stand out. Amazing job! I wish I had access to WWE Deluxe figures but there are very few around here. Great line you have created. The shield is perfect for the figure since is not quite Romanesque but still retains the escence of the way REH envision his world. I am looking forward to your rendition of "The Tower of the Elephant". I am currently working on a Rougues in the House figure in 1/6 scale and I hope you keep up your Conan series going they are the best around.

What can I say, wow! I´m a big fan of your Conan customs, and this one is really fantastic. Wrestlers are a good base for Conan except for the arms. I don´t like WWE wrestlers arms very much, lets see in the future if Jakks Pacific improves arms sculpt.
Keep on!!
