I have to definitely acknowledge that this figure was inspired by Vasquez from his submission for a Star Wars contest awhile back. His Chewbacca took second place and was very, very cool, first in my opinion. He and the contest inspired me to make a Star Wars list of characters I wanted to create using only Marvel Legends style figure, no pieces/parts, head swaps from any of the Star Wars lines.
He stated he was going for a war torn desert look and I wanted to try and recreate that but as I was progressing I realized it might look more like a home planet Kashyyyk feel.
Anyway,
I started with the same base, Grey Hulk and used Green stuff for the fur. This took the longest, rolling each strand that is on there and have to wait for areas to dry so I wouldn't squish new fur. (The 50 hours of completion time is spread out over 2 months, work kept interfering.) I went with a matte black base, and then x2-3 shades of brown in areas. The satchel is leatherette and the bullets are from the Smart Hulk gun. I have come up with a good gun yet, I have one I'm tinkering with but still not very happy with it.
