rexticon - thanks rex!
Bamf67 - Thank you sir. You keep me motivated also with your support and words of encouragement
Jan14 - thanks Jan
Skiman - Your skills are just fine! Sometimes I wish I could do what others do, but then I think about it and that just wouldn't be me and I have to be thankful I can do what I can. I wish I had started earlier in life though like in my late teens or early 20's.
Cosmic Fantasy Customs - Thank you for the kind and encouraging words
3bcustoms - I appreciate that. I really like your work also!
terryzom - Well, it happens sometimes. I miss a bunch myself with this new system. I'm still used to the old ways...lol!
I also pray before I do my art and customs. :-)
Souba
megatrooper - thanks megatrooper
fitzjedi - thank you fitz
Bushinryus40th - thank you for noticing! The silver chrome doesn't show up as good in the camera(looks white sometimes). My photo taking abilities aren't too good either
Manwolf - Yep, it was an original Shogun Warrior from the late 70's
ole jade jaw - I just use one,but most times I paint in one layer at time, that way I don't waste too much. Primer first, then I put down a basecoat of the main color, then the other paints on top of that whether it be drybrushing and hand detailing to airbrushing. Then seal it. If you are good with photoshop(which I'm not) just think of it as working in layers as they do with the photoshop and other programs like that
Customfig - I appreciate the advice, but it's like this... I just try to shade and paint the way I like to do it. Some people may think it's over the top, others may think it's not enough. If I wanted to go one shade darker orange on the Leader's muscles to define them then I'm sure that would've looked great(sometimes I do that) but for the most part I like bolder, dirtier type paint tones(most times) and if everyone of us painted the same then it wouldn't be much of a custom figure. If you think this Sentinel is too much, then that's your opinion and I do value it. But, there's an untold million ways to paint these things and this was just one of my ideas on it. My next one may or may not have the battle scars and rust areas painted on it, I usually don't know until I just start painting and let it take me to wherever it ends up. That's how I paint...I just go with the flow
NeCrollector - thank you for sharing your work also!
jonatanmk - thank you jonatamk
RedRebelCustoms - Thanks Double R!
massprime - I'm trying for sure!
Redmist - haha! yes it can, brother RED! We could walk on water if we had enough faith!
dbocustoms - I'm amazed at yours too, brother!
CAb00se - Honestly, I didn't really like them either until I held one in my hands and compared it to the baf one. It's really not bad at all. I have one more Sentinel and I have some bigger plans for it
kngfu - that's what I say! Mazinga would stomp that Sentinel!
a9j8tgh6yhnf456m - I can't pronounce your name yet, but your comments humble me! I may not believe it but thanks~!
G_Rantula - thank you sir! I tried. I have another one planned soon
lanshark1 - Well, I humbly thank you for saying that but there are plenty better than me. I just try to have my own style of painting but I find I continually try to improve it and try new things and ideas. It's because of comments like yours that keep me encouraged not to give up
JmTrtt - it's something to strive for. I thank you for thinking so regardless
emmbro30 - thank you for the encouragement! it's been tough, but the blessings keep coming. Even if it doesn't always go the way I want it
pulpyfiction - Well, this one is still quite shiny. This is one of those figures that really has to be seen in person to get the full magnitude of the shades and the shine. It's hard to photograph these things that have a a lot of gloss on it without it getting lost in the wash
AREZ - appreciate that, Arez!
lokoboy - Hey, I need to pray more myself. And even for the ones who don't pray to God, gods, the lords of Kobol or whomever...it's all about positive thinking!
Masterful paint job, FF!
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing work my friend! You are the best painter on here as far as I can tell!
