Frank Castke a.k.a. the Punisher is known for using and having a variety of weapons. I was inspired to do this diorama after reading Punisher Max by Garth Ennis. I've searched the net for ideas for his armory. which led me to reading the 10 series of The Punisher Armory. The first thing I did was to collect as much weapons and accessories that I could similar to the comic series. This diorama by the way took me like a year to finish. I wasn't planning on joining any contest or posting this diorama on any forums, but I decided otherwise. After collecting all the things I needed for this project, I sort them all up thinking that I have enough stuff. But when I started placing them on my custom acrylic enclosure which was originally made not for this armory but for the display of my loose collections, the enclosure turns out to be small. I've collected more than it should be. With the furnitures and accessories, it was impossible for me to place them all in one area. So I decided to make 2 rooms. One is this entry, The Punisher Armory 1, with the office/bedroom/armory theme. Most furnitures came from TNA and WWE toys, few from marvel. The desk, chairs, locker, tables, filing cabinets, bed etc., some of it were modified and repainted. I thought of making rifle racks, but I ended making this screens where I displayed most of his guns. It was made of calling card holders that can be bought on any school and office supplies. The desk weapons are from FO Cap and Punisher base. What I did was I added popsicle sticks for the legs, so it would look like a desk, and unscrew the back part and made it like a compartment. I painted the sides, screen and the legs of the desk black. Weapons are no use without ammunitions, so I added some shotgun shells, mags, hand grenades but all are for 1/6 scale. Couldn't find any ammunitions for 6" except for the bullet belt that came from 3 3/4 toys. But it still wasn't enough and 1/6 accessories doesn't come cheap, so I thought of customizing my own ammunitions. I focus on making shotgun shells that are made from small plastics bought from handcraft stores and pins with ball shape head that I customize for making grenades. It blended perfectly with the weapons. I also made boxes for the bullet, deck of cards, paper money, folders, I printed mugshots, map, newspapers, blueprint etc. This diorama itself is 28 inches in length, 13.5 inches width and about 9-10 inches in height. It also comes with a custom Postwar Punisher made for this project. Recipe: XMC Wolverine, SOTA Ken, ML 4 and 6 Punisher, ML Weapon X. I thought my only problem in making this diorama was collecting and organizing all the weapons and furnitures, but the hardest part was taking pictures and choosing which shot would be best fit for the presentation of this entry. We're only allowed 3 photos per entry. So I'd like to apologize for the arrangements of the pictures. But I'll be posting more photos, on the forum after this contest. I hope you guys enjoy my work. Thanks figurerealm for this opportunity. Mabuhay! ;) ![]() |
