Based on the principle that Kal-El had a biological father, Jor-El, it would be sooner or later, Bizarro would want a dad as well. This custom was created out of fan interest and is an original design. It was inspired by the interesting character of Bizarro and how a Bizarro version of Jor-El might look like. Wanted to create this figure to hold a sense of dementia in the eyes, and yet be dignified in his poise. Like a mad king, or a delusional scientist, on the brink of catastrophe. These were some of the traits that seemed parallel yet opposite to Jor-El of Krypton. While working on the custom, a storyline running around in the head always helped with focusing on how the figure should look. In this case, Clark having lost both his biological and adoptive father, eventually encounters Jor-El Bizarro and poses the question of whether or not he could be his dad as well - like a surrogate father. So with this figure, it had to at least look like he could be Superman's dad - just bizarre and backwards. The cape was borrowed from a McFarlane Redeemer figure and really helped to animate this custom. Re-sculpted the hair and face on the Ross Bizarro fig (used pictures of old Roman statue heads as reference). Finished in acrylic. ![]() |
