Blink (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
I've been wanting to do a Blink custom for quite a while to add to my Exiles display, but I didn't like the Mystique head. I finally resigned myself to starting on the custom and after some "head input" from Buzzy Fret I went searching for a different head. I found this one in my fodder box and I'll let you folks try and guess what figure it came from. The head had to be modified to fit on the Mystique neck. It's original neck was carved away and the peg hole was drilled a little deeper. The skulls on Mystique's skirt were carefully cut off. All went well until I began trimming the excess and sliced my forefinger open :( The necklace and the boottops were scuplted with Sculpey. After I took the close up shot of her head I realized a big chunk of paint came off the neck. DOH!! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this and let's see how long it takes for someone to recognize the head :)  Please wait... |

The male figures are much more poseable than the females and a couple really look cool. The Street Deacon stands out to me as well as Nakota, the Indian chief. He even comes with a cool totem accessory!
If you're interested I can try and find some of their things and send you a picture.
And Doc, although she is pretty much a statue from the waist down, she does come with some cool accessories and inter-changeable forearms (which I'm sure all customizers will find handy! No pun intended) So she's not a total loss

That's a good guess, but I used that head on my Aurora custom....although it would have been a good one as well.

Doc, the figure you're thinking of was what I was originally planning to use after talking with Buzzy, but getting one was going to be difficult, so I went scrounging through my fodder bin until this popped up. I think most will agree that it is pretty close to perfect for Blink. If the hair were a little straighter I think it would be absolutely perfect, but this one works for me.
And I appreciate your comments about the paint, Doc. I'm very critical of my skills so I tend to see the flaws when I look at the pictures. Your kind words help to boost my confidence and that's why I like the Realm so much
As for the head, I'll give everyone a hint -- it's not from a Marvel Legends figure

geez I'm not even able to take a stab in the dark about what figure that head came from... was it the one you hinted at or did you find a different one?
