The Joker figure was made from a gray Deadpool figure and built up with epoxy and and other clays. I sculpted the four Joker heads from scratch and cast them in resin. His cane was sculpted from plastic tubing and the gun was from my collection of endless accessories. I sculpted the three dwarf henchmen and cast them in resin. I used masking tape to make the ballerina outfit and the dog leash for the other dwarf. The throne is made from a plumbing tube I bought at Lowe's and Dremeled to shape. I sculpted one Kewpie doll (all adorable 1 inch of her) and made 400+ resin copies to create that effect. The core of the throne is styrofoam. ![]() |

I read this comic way back in 1986 when I was 10 years old and it made a lasting impression for a whole lot of reasons, particularly the throne and S&M henchmen. Their faces scared the crap out of me. This was the first Batman comic I ever read, too, and after growing up watching Adam West & Cesar Romero play Batman & Joker you can see why "The Killing Joke" was so frightening for me.
I finally got around to buying the new re-colored graphic novel and it inspired me to create this.
