I've been itching to do more Marvel characters using DCUC bodies (Leternessman, you're a huge inspiration!), so I figured, "Why not Deadpool?" I mean, nobody ever makes customs of him...
I used a Johnny Quick from the Crime Syndicate 5 Pack for the body along with a Moon Knight head (original!). Sinister cape strands for the harness and wrist/ankle cuffs, an Iron Man arc reactor for the teleporter, and a Face Off Red Skull's belt. Finally, used a variant AOA Weapon X for the unmasked head.
I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and hope to crank out a few more Marvels to go with him soon. Thanks for looking!
I love your custom, so fantastic. looking at your discussion, I have to say I like both and think you need a mix for the collection. some customs look better in dc and some better in marvel, but love your work and your les.
Nicely done! I've been working on one for a few weeks and I hope he turns out as nice as yours once I get around to finishing him. I know there are plenty of folks that don't like the DCUC bucks for a number of reasons, but I think they're some of the best figures/customs around. I don't need endless amounts of articulation, just great looking toys to display. Maybe if I was 7 and still played in a sandbox I'd feel differently. Great job on the paint!
Thanks for the comment, Les! I'm generally a Legends fan, but there's something about the DCUC bucks that makes them mega-fun to work with. Ah well; different strokes for different folks, eh?
Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see your Wade when he's done.
