With my son being out of school, the swimming lessons, jiujitsu and other activities, I have had very limited time to work on customs as of late. But I did manage to piece this guy together and slap some paint on him. I used a Savage Dragon upper body and torso, with Bishop lower arms, AOA Sabes thighs, and Wolvie lower legs. Added sculpted detail with Aves, two magnetic alternate heads; series 6 & AOA Wolvie, took the removable cowl from HOML Daken and added metal claws using craft nails. I am really pleased with the short, stocky and pissed-off look that was achieved with the parts used. This was originally being done for a buyer who requested X-Men styled paint apps. However, the dude flaked out at the last minute. Oh well. So I like the look, but I thought that the yellow/brown or X-Force color scheme would have better suited the figure build. So I may have to do another in the future. With all that said, I present my first, but not last, Wolverine custom. Comments and critiques always welcome. Thanks to all!!!
How did I miss this?!!! This is awesome, makes me think of a ramos, or herrera, or bachalo version of Wolverine! He looks great, and your parts came together quite well, plus the paints are great! Nice work, sorry for catching it so late in the game!
I really like this Wolvie custom. I would of thought the SD bod would be to big but it really works, looks a lot like the exaggerated physique that a lot of artist draws Wolverine. Very unique and excellent take on Wolverine.
Yeah, he was modeled loosely after the artwork of Humberto Ramos. If you're familiar with his style, he highly exaggerates the physique of the characters that he draws. Thanks for the comments man, they are much appreciated.
Whoa. Really cool. Very creative to make good old Logan out of Savage Dragon. I like how the body type is larger and the transformation is cool! Also nice paints.
