Remember how much that old Movie Masters' Joker's head sucks?

At first, I just settled for repainting it. Problem is, it just doesn't look like Heath Ledger. I decided to take the head off that Avatar army guy and re-sculpted it. I practically re-sculpted everything but the ears on that thing. I tried to match several source pics, as well as some of the Hot Toys Joker details. I may end up adding some volume to the hair, but this is how it looks for now.

I spent careful detail on the cuts around the mouth. They aren't simple razor lines in the film. The right side features a thin accurate cut that arcs into a candy-cane shaped smile. The left side is more traumatic with deep swollen stab spots, which results in more of a big lump of scar tissue. This is mostly due to the fact that the prosthetic seemed to bulge when Ledger frowned, so I tried to capture that look. He also has the small cut through his bottom lip where the knife 'slipped' as the left side of his face was being cut, as well as various wrinkles throughout the face.

The paint is the most complicated part. It is layers an layers of various thickness of paints and water wash detail to create the layered and worn look. His paint has a sort of depth to it in the film that is difficult to capture...

Lastly, I sliced his upper arms and added a swivel...

The head does not resemble Heath Ledger, but your paint work is incredible, especially at this scale!

A brilliant resculpt! Wonderful attention to detail which is near-impossible to achieve at that scale, particularly with a movie figure based on an actor's likeness.

That's flat out spectacular work! looks like a real-life shrunken Ledger Joker head on a 6" action figure!

Awesome sculpt! Very detailed and accurate looking. How exactly did you reattach the arms?

I just drilled a hole in both parts at the same spot and stuck a peg in the upper arm part...
