Dark Beast has been one of my favourite villains since Age of Apocalypse. I'm a huge Beast fan and I love that he has an evil doppelganger lurking around in the Marvel universe.

I picked up an extra "ape-head" stealth Beast from a trade and decided it was a good base for Dr. McCoy... although I'd need to do some fur sculpting on the torso and upper arms. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but I think I could have done a bit better. I tried following some fur sculpting tutorials online but I had some trouble so I just did the fur a cheap way... I think it's ok. The ab crunch articulation still works perfectly.

I decided to keep the leg armour since I never did like Dark Beast's metallic Colossus pants. I just sculpted over the big X on each knee. I wanted him to look similar to how he appeared in the Endangered Species story, so the fingerless gloves fit nicely.
