This guy was fun to do. A lot of artists imagine the four armed Burroughs Martians as just having an extra set of arms growing out of the rib cage. I see them as needing another set of torso muscles to move the extra arms as they would to move the first set, so imagine them as having two torsos instead of one torso with four arms.
Well, I am very happy to see this custom figure! #1 is because I love John Carter comics and the movie wasn't too bad. #2. When I first saw that DCUC Indigo Atom, John Carter was the only thing I saw in it because I never read the whole ring thing. So, that tells me my brain is adapting in a good way when I see yours! This is amazing and really inspirational to me! It doesn't hurt that I have the whole John Carter comic saga on CBR(comic book reader) either!
Great work!!! This looks a lot like some of the concept art and statues for the movie, some of those had the two torso's thing going for them to, outstanding custom!!!
Barring the spectacular detailing, the engineering alone is just dam impressive! (plus quite trippy) Any plans on transferring over some of the older stuff? The format here makes particular customs really easy to find.
The multi-tiered figures you've done and the work you've done to blend them is excellent! Your Barsoomian and white ape, are master class lessons on customizing! Great ideas!
