My custom Akuma using Sota figure for base. After seeing the Play Arts Akuma it inspired me to make a 6" Akuma with a same type of details. Full body re-sculpted, the whole uniform are sculpted on, added wrinkles and texture. I made the shoulder joint wider, extended the leg to make him taller. I sculpted in the way that it wouldn't hinder any of the articulation. Full re-paint with dark purple and light grey dry brush, gave him a dark skin tone... I tried to make him look as much like the Play Arts Akuma as I can.
It does look more like the Play Arts one, having much less of the steamlined, simplified feel of the SOTA original. Your sculpt work to add texture and detail is impressive. The arms are especially nice because you had to keep them still kinda smooth. A lot of work and it all goes together really nice to make a cohesive whole. Good job!
This' really good bro it's like someone shrunk dow the Play Arts Kai version. I had to do a double take at first as well because I thought maybe you hacked the arms from a Play Arts Akuma. Until I saw Your sculpting pics that is. Awesome work bro!
mother f.... holy f@(K man! I really like akuma, and I have some custom akumas as well, but nothing as cool as this! when I saw the pic, I thought that you've just modded the head of a PA akuma, and when I looked closely. boom! insane sculpted details man! respect! you really got that play arts look on this fig.
