This is the 4" Penguin Version that was repainted a few years later for Batman Returns. I sculpted a head to resemble Danny DeVito as The Penguin. The heads still pivots and has a magnet inside, which secures the top hat. The top hat also has a magnet and is half the original figures hat. The hands are shaped like the movie costume fin hands as well. The coat-tails and umbrella launcher can be attached. The umbrella has a second handle to be use in his hand. Which I just realized is not pictured. I wanted this to have a 1992 Kenner sort of look. Penguin now sits in a custom Duck Tank, with an army of Commando Penguins. This became a really fun set to do.
I like it! I feel like it has even more of an artsy Tim Burtony feel than just your average custom. kinda like the Corpse Bride/Nightmare figurines. you should continue along those more artistic lines - you have an obvious skill for it.
That's exactly what I was thinking, it feels like Tim Burton's original sketch of the Penguin come to life! I saw that sketch and others at a museum exhibit and this custom figure has really embodied that ghoulish, eerie style that defines Burton's stuff.
The figures contained in the Custom Showcase are not for sale by Figure Realm, and the creators of the customs are no way affiliated with Figure Realm. The Custom Showcase is purely for entertainment purposes and only provides a means for the creators to show off their work and trade ideas. Figure Realm does not make or sell customs.
